Thriving Through the Holidays WITH little kids
Navigate the holiday chaos with grace: Effective, practical tools for a joyful, stress-free season with your little ones
Wednesday November 29, 2023 8:00pm EST
The holiday season is on the horizon, transforming standard parenting trials into an extraordinary test of wit and patience — it's your daily routine, but with an extra dose of all the hard things
...but you don't have to just accept this as your fate!
Holiday seasons and traditions may look different to every family--but one thing can be sure. Chaos will ensue. The list of unexpected runs large and wide. Parents yelling and Little kids doing everything BUT actually getting dressed. Tantrums turn public (because, well, lots of time with family and friends) and unsolicited advice from those "helpful" relatives comes in hot. Throw in late nights and interrupted naps ---- and the holiday turns into memories you DON'T want to remember. But what if you had a holiday game plan that would help you to actually enjoy this season?
You'd love that--good! Because we're here to help you make that happen.
During this LIVE Workshop we'll cover EVERYTHING you need for a smooth holiday with little kids:
- Streamlined Event Planning: Master the art of punctuality with children, ensuring you arrive at events on time, minus the stress and raised voices.
- Smooth Transitions: Navigate seamlessly between meals, photos, and traditions, and exit gracefully without delays or pushback.
- Tantrum Resolution Skills: Know exactly how to respond to big emotions while maintaining connection and avoiding public embarrassment
- Handle unsolicited advice and hurtful comments effectively so that you can enjoy being around family and know you're totally winning at parenting
- Sleep Success: maximize sleep during late nights and interrupted naps so that your holidays can be filled with rest and joy

Meet Your Holiday Guides

Hey, I'm Valerie
I simply cannot get enough of helping little kids and their parents have strong relationships, develop resilience and actually enjoy this crazy season of life! My approach is simple yet profound: understand your unique values and tailor my guidance to bring balance and well-being into your life. Whether it's managing anxiety, fostering strong relationships, or navigating the challenges of infants and young children's emotional world, behavior and sleep patterns, I am here to guide you. My expertise is rooted in evidence-informed practices, continuous professional development, and a deep understanding of infant and child mental health. With a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Toronto, I integrate Attachment Focused Therapies and Solution focused therapy into a compassionate, holistic and realistic approach. I am a firm believer in alternatives to traditional sleep and parenting methods, ensuring your child's sleep solutions resonate with your family's values and lifestyle. As a mom, I empathize with the parental balancing act and am passionate about helping you savor the joys of childhood while fostering long-term resilience in your little ones. I can't get enough of learning about relationships and little kids brains so finding me reading a textbook in bed...is not unusual. I am a firm believer in the essential need for "me time" - as a new mom learning to make sure that I have it and how to get it resulted in a profound shift to my own wellbeing and parenting. So when I create that time I like to go to yoga, walks outside and hang out with my girl-friends.

Hi! I'm Christina
I have been working with families for over 7 years in clinical and childcare settings. This passion to support parents/caregivers through the most challenging and stressful times of raising tiny humans, exponentially grew when I became a parent myself. I found myself in a whole new territory of unknowns! Something about becoming a parent ignited a passion in Infant Mental Health and in the 0-6 years old, brain science research. Since then, I’ve loved working with families and their babies/toddlers to to understand what are realistic expectations of both the parent and child. Because when that happens–we are better equipped to handle any challenge these early years bring.
In my moments of free time I spend time with my husband and two little ones either playing make believe, Legos, or some form of messy play. When I find those unicorn moments of alone time, I enjoy watching episodes of Gilmore Girls, but if you ask my husband, I am probably researching and learning about conscious parenting or infant/toddler brain science, because well... I am a huge nerd and I just love this stuff!
