My Sleep Roadmap

Goodbye overwhelm. Hello Sleep and Confidence!

Guidance you can trust the moment sleep feels hard. With My Sleep Roadmap and your Rest(ie) Bestie by your side, you’ll know exactly what’s going on, what to do, and how to keep your baby’s sleep (and your sanity) on track.

Yes, get me in!

Which of these patterns are keeping you overwhelmed, touched-out, or running on fumes?

Naps and bedtime that shift every single day, so you can never plan around a rhythm that actually holds.

Night feeds that you’re not sure your baby still needs to have and how to shift while making sure they get what they need...but without guilt, tears, or pressure.

You're the only one who can put your little one to sleep and you love feeling loved but you can't go on like this.

Nighttime wakes that leave you bleary-eyed, wondering if you’ll ever sleep more than a couple hours at a time.

Wanting baby to need you a little less at bedtime, without jumping straight to "cry it out" or a crib transition you're not ready for.

Short sleep stretches that make every nap and bedtime feel like starting over from scratch.

If any of these sound familiar, you don’t need to be told how long you should leave your baby to cry.  You need a choose-your-own-adventure step by step plan that is actually realistic in your real life.

With My Sleep Roadmap (and your Rest(ie) Bestie to help you navigate), you can click into the struggle you’re facing right now and get simple effective steps forward that actually fit your baby, your values, and your family and get you to your goals.

Why Talkin’ Sleep and My Sleep Roadmap vs. All those Other “Sleep Gurus” Out There?

Most sleep advice you’ll find online is built on outdated rules, shared by unqualified people (sorry! not sorry!) with a lack of understanding of baby brain development, and societal pressure to make babies independent in all the wrong ways. It focuses on “fixing” your baby, often at the expense of connection, attachment, and your own mental health.

Talkin' Sleep takes a different path.

Behind My Sleep Roadmap is Valerie Groysman, MSW, RSW, a registered social worker and child and family therapist specialized in infant and child mental health, attachment, and parent wellbeing and ofcourse, sleep. Valerie has helped thousands of families navigate baby sleep without cry-it-out if any form, and with a focus on the bigger picture: your baby’s resilience and your own wellbeing as a parent (hint: they are tied together).

This is more than a collection of tips. It’s an experience built on:

Relationship-Supported Sleep™

After working with over 1000+ families without ever using sleep training methods and while integrating sleep science and infant and child social emotional development to support families with sleep, we have developed a 6 step process you can follow. This process protects your sleep and wellbeing (that's you, the parent!) while helping you navigate sleep with calm, confidence and connection. We are always focused on protecting your relationship to build healthy sleep development and life-long resilience for your little one.

Sleep science

Explains what’s biologically normal and how to support healthy sleep development based on biology, not sleep training culture.

Experience working with 1000+ families

The strategies, knowledge and frameworks shared inside were developed after countless hours studying, researching and directly creating results for tired families like yours.

Child development & infant mental health expertise

Helps you know what to expect and understand at every stage so you can set realistic expectations and foster optimal social-emotional and sleep development.

Parent wellbeing support

The postpartum period can feel like an emotional rollercoaster. Your baby's sleep can throw you for unexpected loops. Your own regulation is your super power. This roadmap keeps you regulated, clear, confident, and connected, even when nights are rough.

That’s why My Sleep Roadmap isn’t just another sleep plan.

It’s the only choose-your-own-adventure sleep support method designed by a mental health professional. Built to honor your instincts and your family values while guiding you through the ups and downs of baby sleep.

Okay, but just to be sure, here's who The Baby Sleep Roadmap isn't for.

The Baby Sleep Roadmap was created for families who want realistic, compassionate support. That also means...

This isn't the right fit if you're looking for

Rigid daily schedules with exact nap times and wake windows to follow no matter what.

Quick-fix promises that claim your baby will “sleep through the night in 3 days.”

Cry-it-out methods or advice that leaves babies to “figure it out” alone.

Scripts that ignore your baby’s temperament, developmental stage, or unique needs.

Surface-level tips without the context of child development, sleep science, and parent wellbeing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Neither, exactly. My Sleep Roadmap is the option in between.

It’s not a course you sit and watch, and it’s not one to one consulting with a waitlist and a bigger price tag. It combines step by step guidance with personalized AI support, so what you get adapts to your baby specifically instead of following a script written for everyone.

You’re not starting over every time something changes. As your baby moves through a new phase, the roadmap moves with you.

Yes, depending on age. My Sleep Roadmap covers birth through roughly age 2. If your toddler is under 2, MSR is the right fit. Once they’re past 2, Toddler Sleep Essentials picks up where MSR leaves off and is built specifically for that stage.

Many toddlers are still waking for milk at night. For some families, this continues to work well. For others, it starts to feel exhausting.

The challenge with night weaning is that removing milk suddenly can sometimes lead to more wakes, big emotions in the middle of the night, and less sleep for everyone. But it doesn’t have to be that way.

There are ways to approach night weaning gradually and supportively, while still protecting sleep and minimizing big emotional reactions. That’s exactly what Night Weaning Gently walks you through, including a decision making tool if you’re not sure whether you and your toddler are ready. This isn’t all or nothing. You can choose to simply reduce the number of feeds rather than cut them all out.

If your little one is younger than 12 months, you don’t need night weaning yet. You need My Sleep Roadmap to improve overnight sleep first.

My Sleep Roadmap is designed to support you through the different stages and problems as your baby develops and grows. Some problems can be solved quickly with small tweaks. Transitions or bigger changes can take a few weeks, typically 4 to 6.

The goal is to support you through every problem and stage without losing additional sleep or compromising your values, your baby’s wellbeing, or yours. It’s truly a balancing act of knowing what to focus on.

Yes. False starts (when your baby seems to settle, then wakes crying 20 to 40 minutes later) are one of the most common patterns families bring to My Sleep Roadmap. False starts point to something specific about how your baby is falling asleep. Not something you’re doing wrong.

Inside the roadmap, we work through what’s driving the false starts for your baby specifically, and how to shift the pattern without changing everything at once.

Yes! Overnight wakes are rarely just one thing. Hunger, sleep associations, developmental leaps, temperament, environment, they all show up looking pretty similar at 2am. My Sleep Roadmap walks you through how to tell the difference. Once you know what’s actually driving the wake up, you know what to change and what to leave alone.

We stick with you for as long as you stick with us. If something we suggest doesn’t resonate or doesn’t work for you, we suggest something else, and it is never “just leave them to cry then”.

At Talkin’ Sleep, we utilize our Relationship Supported Sleep Approach, which is focused on getting to the root cause of your sleep challenge. That means that we look at your whole baby and family and consider: health and mental health, sleep environment, stimulation, sensory needs, temperament, your mental health and well-being, and so much more. This program was not created by another sleep consultant repeating the same advice over and over again.

Yes. The resources are short, practical, and designed for nap windows and middle-of-the-night scrolling. You’ll get what you need in minutes, not hours.

That’s exactly why this solution exists. Most programs give you rigid rules that fall apart the moment your baby changes or life throws a curveball. The Baby Sleep Roadmap adapts with you, offering flexible tools, clear context, and support that grows as your baby grows.

My Sleep Roadmap is subscription-based. As long as you have an active subscription, you will have access to all components of My Sleep Roadmap. If you cancel, we’ll remove your access to the My Sleep Roadmap portal. To regain access, you will need to resubscribe.

Never. The Talkin’ Sleep approach is rooted in infant mental health and attachment science. We don’t use cry-it-out or leave-baby-to-cry methods of any form. If something we suggested doesn’t work or doesn’t resonate for you, we offer something else that’s still within your values.

No. Instead of rigid one size fits all schedules and exact nap times, we help you create personalized routines or schedules that fit your baby’s sleep needs, temperament, and your family’s lifestyle.

Just like walking and talking, the range for sleeping through is wide. My Sleep Roadmap helps you understand what’s biologically normal at each stage. While also giving you realistic strategies to encourage longer stretches of sleep without compromising your baby’s needs or limiting responsiveness or soothing.

My Sleep Roadmap isn’t a course you slog through. It’s more like a Netflix library. Currently, it covers baby sleep (Birth to 18 months). Future developments will include additional ages. You can go through our step-by-step playlist or share the challenge you’re facing right now, and your Rest(ie) Bestie pulls up a playlist of proven, practical, step-by-step tools to solve it. No long lessons, no fluff, no wasted time. Just the support you need, right when you need it.
